First Four Sessions for Youth Under 18
We believe that no one should be deprived of basic mental health care due to financial constraints - especially those under the age of 18. To support families and caregivers, we’re glad to offer a subsidized rate. It’s our hope that this helps make beginnings a little easier.
About Me.
I am here to share my personal journey of growth and the ways in which a variety of therapeutic approaches—including Person-Centred Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Adlerian Therapy, EMDR, and others—have contributed to shaping me into the confident, grounded, optimistic, and empathetic person I am today. I feel privileged to work in the deeply rewarding role of supporting clients as they heal from past wounds, reconnect with their inner strengths, and move toward becoming the person they have always aspired to be.
I also consider myself a parenting advocate. Through my own experience raising my children, I have gained valuable insight and would be grateful for the opportunity to support other parents in learning, growing, and strengthening their connection with their children. My strengths-based parenting approach closely aligns with the philosophy of Dr. Gordon Neufeld, as reflected in Hold On to Your Kids and his work with teens.
I can also proudly say that my previous training and professional experience in dentistry, before transitioning into this field, have significantly enriched my work as a therapist. This background allows me to better understand clients who may be experiencing career uncertainty, conflicts between profession and passion, midlife transitions, and related challenges. I can also relate to the unique pressures associated with dental education and professional practice.
More broadly, I believe many of these challenges are universal across professions, educational paths, and career journeys, which enables me to support individuals navigating a wide range of personal and professional transitions.
